Smoked Tofu for Cherizac

Here's a picture of the block of tofu I smoked for Cherizac. She was wondering how that would turn out. I sliced a small piece off to show how deeply the smoke penetrated.

For some reason, the taste didn't sit well with me that day. However, I've been having a problem lately with the way foods are tasting. Going through a stage I suppose. So I'm declaring myself off the judging panel on this one. Also, I couldn't come up with a way to use it that tickled my fancy. Maybe just as a smoky flavor in a big bowl of soba.

I really like Cherizac... but wasting the smoker on soy-piezon? Eeewww!

Okay, I could not help myself, especially after the latest research on soy I read the other day. (told ya.. piezon!)

Beautiful job, dear. It looks almost like a baked pound or angelfood cake in the photo.

Hey! That empty shelf was simply begging for something - anything.

My motto is still "everything in moderation." Not a proponent of soy regime for menopause just because it goes against the grain of moderation. Can't see a meal of tofu a week being harmful, nor a helping of fresh soy beans, er, edamame.

It *did* turn out pretty. Thanks.

Cherizac is having to forgo the soy as well, darn it. Messing with my thyroid stuff.

It does look good though. You have the coolest ideas!

Got a blog post just for me, and I don't see it for a month. Sigh. Catching up now though!
